VIOLET BLACK
If Adam gives Ghost Town Criers its voice, Violet Black gives it its silence. Reserved, observant and endlessly curious, Violet notices the details most people miss—the quiet tension between people, the feeling inside forgotten buildings, the strange beauty hiding beneath everyday life.
Her bass playing reflects that same philosophy. Never showy. Never rushed. Always serving the atmosphere before the spotlight.
Away from the stage, she has a lifelong fascination with photography, analogue film and forgotten architecture. Many of the visual ideas behind the band’s artwork and music videos begin as images collected during her travels rather than conversations in rehearsal rooms. She speaks the least during interviews. Somehow, fans often feel they know her the best.
“People always tell you who they are. They just don’t use words.”
